
WQAD News 8 and WQAD.com have confirmed Judith Sierra and Delfino Sierra, Jr. have been found safe in Sterling, Illinois. Their mother is heading to Sterling to reunite with her children.
Moline police issued the alert Sunday morning after the children's father Delfino Sierra, Sr. came to their home in Moline and took the children at knifepoint. The children were in the care of a teenage nephew at the time.
Police continue to search for Sierra, Sr. He is described as a Hispanic male, 36 years old, 5'8", 170 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, and medium complexion. He also goes by the aliases Jesus M. Carrion and Jesus M. Melendez. He is the father of the children, but is not married to their mother.
EARLIER STORY: Two Moline children were taken at knifepoint by their father from their mother's home around 3:40am Sunday.
A 13-year old nephew was babysitting the two children at the time. The missing children are Judith G. Sierra and Delfino Sierra, Junior. Judith is 18 months old and described as a white female, 2'6", 22 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink princess t-shirt. Delfino Serra, Junior is a white 4 month old.
Their father, Delfino Sierra, Senior is described as a Hispanic male, 36 years old, 5'8", 170 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, and medium complexion. He also goes by the aliases Jesus M. Carrion and Jesus M. Melendez. He is the father of the children, but is not married to their mother.
The vehicle Sierra, Sr was using was found at home where he had been staying, but he and the children remain missing. Anyone with information into the whereabouts of Judith and Delfino Sierra, Jr are asked to call the Moline police, Illinois State police, or 911.
